Memorandum of Understanding

During December 2012, the House of Representatives voted for a number of new and amending laws under the Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Cyprus and Troika.The objective of the voting was to strengthen the public finances. The most relevant changes are discussed and analysed below

Decrease of Public Interest Rate 2013

In accordance with the Degree No. 543/2012, which was published in the Cyprus Government Gazette on 28 December 2012, the public interest rate in force has been decreased from 5% p.a. to 4,75% p.a.
